My name is Abbey. I am a Certified Teacher in both Hatha and Yin styles of Yoga.

I have a passion for healthy living and true wellbeing in this bustling, modern world.
It is the simplicity of Yoga I am drawn to; the way it allows us to slow down, discover our breathing and listen within. My teaching style encourages students to cultivate these attributes in a gentle, easy-going and considered way. 

 

Off the mat, I study Acupressure and Chinese Medicine in Brunswick, Melbourne. It is the combination of both Indian Philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine that continues to inspire me, giving me wonderful insight into the human body and therapeutic benefits of Yoga.

It is a privilege to help students learn the same.

Anna was drawn to yoga as it allowed her to connect to her being within and heal her emotional and spiritual body.

Inspired by the yoga philosophy she soon discovered she wanted to share her passion for wellbeing and personal growth with others, especially the younger generation. “I want to be the person I needed growing up. Supporting children to stay connected to their body mind and spirit.”
Anna is a certified Flowchild yoga teacher and continues to be mentored by Di Meade. As well as attending training in Yoga of Sound and Mantra with Mei Lai Swan. Anna is looking forward to completing her 250ytt at Ebb and Flow in 2019.

 

Anna brings her love of creativity and singing to her teaching. Whilst creating a caring, playful environment that encourages children's emotional, mental, spiritual needs so that they feel free to express themselves in a authentic, mindful and wholesome way.
Anna believes that Flowchild yoga is a powerful foundation, creating wellbeing for our children. 


Off the mat Anna is an Artist-illustrator ,singer and mother striving towards compassion and healing towards all sentient beings and living a healthy sustainable lifestyle.

Annie has just completed her 250 hour Yoga training at Ebb & Flow  Wellness Studio with Di Meade, after being a regular student.

When Annie isn't on the mat she works as a fashion retail store manager, which is fast paced and challenging, so yoga has always been an outlet and an opportunity to let go and slow down.

 

 

 

Her desire as yoga teacher  is to help students feel powerful yet peaceful in their practice,  to be present on the mat and to experience the true benefits that yoga can bring us.

Strong, passionate, playful

As a year 11 student, Charlie is our youngest teacher. He is super passionate about yoga, and all things health; especially when it comes to creating challenging - but rewarding - classes for his students. 

Charlie believes that although the practise of yoga starts for many as a physical practise, it can soon develop into something much more; helping us in many ways through life. He works hard on furthering his own practise, constantly learning, as well as helping his students achieve their best. 

 

His simple, yet powerful classes, are engaging and fun. Charlie strives to bring a balance of anatomical engagement, body control and philosophy into all of his classes. He believes that with an “I can” attitude – and a smile – your mat in the classroom can turn into a place of great transformation. 

Charlie completed his 200hr YTT with Power Living in Melbourne.    

In the future Charlie hopes to study Medicine, and continue pursuing his love of health/science and helping others.

Chrissy was drawn to yoga because of the deep mind-body connection and strength gained. She found herself drawn to the practice more and more for the serene stillness that resided in her after each class, a calmness that she found to be crucial in the chaos of today's world. 
Chrissy has always been passionate about health and wellness. After being involved in the Fitness industry since 2008, instructing group fitness classes from Step to Spin to Pump and much more, she has years of experience challenging her students to continuously become stronger both physically and mentally. 

Chrissy is a strong believer in a well-rounded balanced practice, but expect a good challenge in her classes, as she wants her students to leave class feeling empowered, strengthened and opened into a greater sense of self. 

She believes her students can achieve anything they want to achieve as they cultivate an attitude of gratitude, passion and trust in the practice and process of yoga, that has been so transformative in her own life. Her hope is to encourage you to be present every class, and to be okay with simply being in the moment.

Di is Powerliving trained and uses her science and anatomical background to create playful creative sequences that result in strength, stretch and release, with a focus on the breath. She continually encourages students to come to their "edge on the mat", that comfortable uncomfortable place, that moment in each pose when you want to drop out of a pose, that place you can grow as a yogi but also as a person when you stay. This is where the transformation can happen.

Di uses philosophy throughout her classes, allowing you to develop awareness around your body, your breath and your mind.

 

Di is a Level 1 Registered Yoga Australia teacher (350HRS) and has recently completed her 500HRS Level 2 Teaching. Di is also a ERYT250hr Yoga Alliance Certified. Di is the owner and creator of the studio &  Director of Ebb & Flow Wellness Yoga School and runs 250HR Yoga Teacher trainings and Flowchild Children's Yoga Teacher trainings. 

Di is trained in Yin Yoga & Pre and Post Natal yoga.

She is also a Level II iRest Meditation Practitioner in training, currently doing her study to become a Certified iRest Meditation teacher.

El is a knowledgeable personal trainer & yoga teacher. Her love, passion & energetic vibe really displays in her Core and Yoga Classes at Ebb and Flow. Born and bred in Geelong, El's passion for personal and group training, came from being a competitive runner in her teens. This passion drew her to focusing on others' fitness, health and well-being.

In 2016, she completed her Certificate III and IV in Personal Training. El works at a local gym, specializing in group training. She also runs her own Personal Training business and Run Groups around Geelong. You will most likely see her running all the time around local Geelong tracks, as she is an Ultra - Marathon runner. 

 

This year, she is also completing her 200hour Yoga Teacher Training course. El has always wanted to teach Yoga, since she started practicing 12 years ago. She is so excited and grateful to teach at Ebb and Flow.

El's love for teaching both Yoga and Core Class will shine right away with her bright smile as she welcomes you into the Studio and to her classes. She is so excited for her new yoga journey and growth as a teacher at Ebb and Flow.

Movement, improving ranging of motion, and physical activity brought me to the mat, but cultivating mindfulness, self-awareness, and community, kept me coming back…

Michelle is Power Living trained, obtaining her 200-Hr Certification in Vinyasa Flow in 2017, and finalizing her 50-Hr Yin Yoga in 2018. Currently pursuing a Clinical Exercise Specialist Certificate, and a AAS in Exercise Science.

Michelle holds a BS in Fashion Merchandising from Kent State University, with twenty years of progressive merchant experience in the retail industry that expands top-ranked specialty retailers, mass merchandisers, and national manufacturers across the U.S. and Australia.

Prior to moving to Australia, Michelle was a Certified Personal Trainer (NETA), and was Principal of M2G Group LLC., which consisted of Greenlee Personal Fitness, and Nu Lifestyle Magazine.

Throughout this journey, Michelle has been focused on assisting individuals with gaining, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through diet, and exercise. Her ultimate drive has been with clients and students realizing their full wellness potential, allowing for improved health and quality of life.

Shannan first came to yoga as a teen and has since practiced and taught a variety of yoga styles throughout Australia, India and South East Asia. She has worked with some incredible teachers, exploring yoga lineages including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Satyananda, and Jivamukti. She draws on all of these traditions to create classes that are challenging, dynamic and fun. She is also a passionate prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher and believes that yoga plays a critical role in wellbeing during pregnancy, birth and beyond. 

Shannan is both humbled and honoured to share yoga with others and loves to assist her students to discover the holistic benefits of yoga both on and off the mat. Shannan holds an Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teacher Training (500 hours), specialist qualifications in Prenatal Yoga Teaching (50 hours), is a qualified Kids Yoga teacher (27 hours), certified Health Coach, Meditation teacher, holds a Certificate in Positive Psychology and is currently undergoing post graduate yoga qualifications (150hours).

Initially Sharon was drawn to Yoga as a way to deal with stress but soon discovered that her Yoga practice helped with every part of her life; experiencing an improved sense of balance, clarity and compassion towards herself and others.
Sharon enjoys teaching a strong, purposeful and cleansing practice promoting the self-healing capabilities of the body. 

She is extremely passionate and committed towards her continual development as a practitioner, and teacher, of Yoga and hopes that sharing her own experiences along the way will provide similar benefits to her students on and off their mats.  

 

Sharon has completed an Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teacher Training, a Post Graduate Yoga Teacher Training and many Workshops, Intensives and Immersions to deepen her knowledge and love of Yoga... forever a student!

Shelley’s passion for yoga started only a few years ago once she came to accept that long distance running was not an option anymore. Her practice developed very quickly into something she knew she wanted to share with others.

After attending the Ebb and Flow Bali Yoga Retreat in 2017, she came back and completed a 20 hour mentoring program through the studio, and has recently completed her 250 hour yoga teacher training with Di.

 

When not in the studio practicing and teaching, Shelley runs a boutique digital marketing company, and manages the marketing and business development team for a large law firm.

Sigrid fell in love with Yoga in 2010 in New Zealand. Since then she has gained qualifications in complementary Therapies, including Reiki, Thai massage, Psychology/Counselling and Dance and Movement Therapy. She has completed Yoga Teacher Training in India (Hatha) and Bali (Vinyasa and Yin). Sigrid challenges students to listen to their bodies, move and breathe with love and intention, and cultivate mindfulness and awareness on and off the mat.

Taff is an energetic personal trainer who will keep you on your toes for a solid 45minute workout. Taf's passion is participating in creating the best version of you and strongly believes the only limitations we face are the ones we place on ourselves.

Taff’s Health and Well Being journey started back in 2010 upon completion of her Certificate IV in personal training. Taff has worked as a corporate personal trainer in Geelong for both The Gordon Tafe and Cotton On groups and currently runs her own personal training business.

This year Taff took on her own mind and body challenge competing and completing her first ever Ironman in her home town of Geelong. As a sprinter this was a huge mental and physical challenge.

You will hear Taff say in her classes ‘A strong mind equals a strong body’.
